My story...

 

It all began with a trip to the library; I must have been about 5 years old. The books on the shelves literally called out to me; they had me fascinated. I devoured book after book; each one took me to a different place. I went on magical adventures with Enid Blyton's Famous Five; the history books took me to faraway lands I could only imagine and transported me back in time. I escaped every time I picked up a new book, quite often reading it in one sitting.

So, no surprise, I ended up doing a degree in European history and archaeology, where my tutors told me, "You do tell a good story; I felt as though I was there."

In my adulthood, Stephen King's Rose Madder had me enthralled on a sun-drenched beach in Tenerife, but the discovery of a snippet from the late James Herbert's The Magic Cottage in the Sunday paper had me running to the bookshop to buy a copy to finish the story.

They say we all have a book in us; I think I may have several!

A friend bought me a notebook and pen around 2 years ago and told me to start my first book, and here I am... on book 3.

Welcome to my book reveal

Here begins a journey into the world of escapism... you will meet many ghosts, discover twists and turns, and oh so many hidden secrets.

The Grange is set within a gated community, once an old asylum, now a series of flats/apartments and houses.

At first glance, it looks like the perfect and idyllic place to live, with its own gym, restaurant and private surgery, set in acres of grounds.

But what the brochure failed to tell you...was some of the former residents...never truly left....
